On their website you can read about the way in which Childnet is working around the world with many other organisations to help highlight and promote the positive inspiring ways children can use the Net. You can also read about the strategic education and policy initiatives they are engaged in which are helping to protect children in this new environment.

One of Childnet's most stimulating educational projects is Net-Detectives run by ex Cambridgeshire Police Education Officer David Casey.

Net-Detectives is an exciting online role play programme where school pupils under the supervision of their teachers become 'net detectives' using ICT to link with experts from outside agencies to solve real life scenarios...

This model has proved to be a highly successful means of pupils of all ages learning about citizenship issues, gaining problem solving skills and using ICT in any number of curriculum areas.

Net-Detectives leaflets are available from Childnet, giving you further information about the project. Link to Net Detectives website
