Childnet International
Childnet International is the children's Internet charity committed to helping to make the Internet a great and safe place for children.
On their website you can read about the way in which Childnet is working around the world with many other organisations to help highlight and promote the positive inspiring ways children can use the Net. You can also read about the strategic education and policy initiatives they are engaged in which are helping to protect children in this new environment.
One of Childnet's most stimulating educational projects is Net-Detectives run by ex Cambridgeshire Police Education Officer David Casey.
Net-Detectives is an exciting online role play programme where school pupils under the supervision of their teachers become 'net detectives' using ICT to link with experts from outside agencies to solve real life scenarios...
This model has proved to be a highly successful means of pupils of all ages learning about citizenship issues, gaining problem solving skills and using ICT in any number of curriculum areas.

Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies
The Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies was established in 1985 as an associated institution of the University of Oxford, to encourage the scholarly study of Islam and the Islamic world.
The Centre provides a meeting point for the Western and Islamic worlds of learning. At Oxford it contributes to the multi-disciplinary and cross-disciplinary study of the Islamic world. Beyond Oxford, its role is strengthened by a developing international network of academic contacts.

The RE Site (The)
TheREsite is at the centre of a family of sites which includes The RE Directory, REfuel and Places of Worship.
The aim of TheREsite itself is to act as your starting point for RE on the web, by providing comprehensive collections of links to resources and information.
Special features of TheREsite include the allRE search index of RE Web resources, and the AV/IT index of CD-ROM, DVD, video and other AV / software resources for RE.
Teen and Junior versions of theREsite are also available, and are intended for independent learning. Please note that these sites are growing and developing: for example more content will be added to the 'Themes and Topics' areas in due course. All versions of theREsite draw on the same core databases of useful links and resources.
